Preserving the Engineering Record
Mosaic Engineering's earlier products span complete digital cameras, medium-format camera systems, embedded imaging modules, portable instrumentation, and removable optical anti-aliasing filters.
These products served different applications, but they reflect a consistent engineering approach: understand the imaging requirement, then combine optics, electronics, software, mechanics, and system integration as needed to solve the problem.

From Camera Accessories to Integrated Optical Engineering
The removable-filter products created practical experience with sensor sampling, birefringent filtering, infrared control, mechanical fit, optical-path compensation, and camera-specific integration.

Sensor Sampling
Fine spatial detail and sensor geometry drove the need to manage aliasing before the image reached the sampling array.

Optical Filtering
Birefringent optical elements were used to control spatial information rather than relying entirely on downstream image processing.

Filters had to fit real camera architectures while preserving lens clearance, focus behavior, installation access, and repeatable positioning.
